My boys (6 & 8 years old) loved this Bible study! I did too. Short enough to keep their attention but deep enough to have real meaning and actual Bible reading!! We loved it. Wish there were more like it.
We used this guide along with our "Beat the Heat" Family Movie Night! We showed the David movie to kids and families in the community, served popcorn and drinks, and gave away slingshots with "pom-pom" stones in a burlap bag with Samuel 17:50 printed on them. It was a great way to connect families to engaging discipleship options!

Thank you for the film about David. My wife and I are going through a difficult time at the moment, and David’s story really touches us. We read his Psalms when we need encouragement, and we feel understood. He has to endure so much suffering, even though he is innocent; he faces enormous opposition with simple faith and experiences God’s faithfulness. We listen to your songs and the music over and over again. They express so much of our situation. The song about the carpet helps us to see much of our past from God’s perspective. Everything happened for a reason from His point of view, even if there are some things we still don’t understand at all. The film hasn’t been released in our country yet, so I’ve ordered the DVD from America. Thank you for the videos and the playlist on Spotify. Just at the right time! God bless you!
We Took our God kids to see the movie and we loved it! We plan on using the David movie material to teach our neighborhood children the story of young David. we love the music. We are a spanish family and we looove the movie! When I found this devotional, I was eager to do it with my kids! They are 4 and 2 years old and we sure learned a lot! Myself included. Thank you for the free printables as well, my toddler has painted them over and over again.
Now, I’m waiting for the movie to come out in streaming platforms so the children in the church can watch it again and then repeat the devotional in sunday school.

I put together 6 lessons on David for a small Sunday school class ages 6-10. I used the info from your guide., adding movie clips and the movie songs plus activities together in PowerPoint presentations. The children were very excited about what they learned.
The study guide is very helpful to teach us how to live righteously the way God wants us to. I know it's for kids and families but it is very helpful for adults to understand when they have trouble understanding the Bible.
