In my opinion, "Cabrini", the movie, is a masterpiece of filmmaking: the life story of a real woman without the pietistic overtones usually associated with the lives of the saints of the Catholic church. Hence, it is easy to relate to St. Mother Francesca Xavier Cabrini. Released in a timely manner to coincide with the celebration of the International Month of Women and the contemporary reality of mass migration of real human beings around the world, it couldn't have been more well thought out to drive the point the world needed to be made aware of: such suffering must be stopped!

So nice to finally be able to get a Cabrini shirt. When they were in Buffalo filming a scene about an orphanage, it reminded me (while I was on the set) that my mother was actually in an orphanage as a little girl in Buffalo probably about 1928. It was called the German Roman Catholic Orphan asylum.
